Our MECCA Casuarina make-up artists recently supported ‘Fashioning the Future’ – a fashion and textiles pilot program facilitated by Wuthathi and Torres Strait Islander creative director and curator Nina Fitzgerald who is passionate about forging pathways for young Indigenous women within the fashion and beauty industry.

The Year 11 and 12 girls, all from M-POWERED Collective organisation Stars Foundation came together in a creative and collaborative environment. “My culture is my passion and something I am very proud of. Helping younger Indigenous girls from my culture is the most rewarding and inspiring thing I have ever done,” said Paxton, a skin specialist at MECCA Casuarina.
