The first earthquake measuring 7.8 magnitude hit south-eastern Türkiye, near the Syrian border and the second one struck four kilometres outside Ekinozu in central Türkiye.

Over 35,000 people have died so far in Türkiye and Syria, and thousands have been injured and displaced.

Major buildings have collapsed and the numbers are expected to rise as the search for survivors continues in both countries.

Countless families are homeless and are in desperate need. ActionAid’s emergency teams are working with local partner organisations to asses damage and provide emergency support.

Your urgent donation will help provide women and their families with immediate support such as shelter, medical aid, food, cash, and sources of heat.

We must act now! Please donate $100 now to help those in urgent need.

WHERE YOUR DONATION GOES

90% of your donation will go directly to our Türkiye-Syria Earthquake Appeal and 10% to fundraising and administration.

In the event that funds raised exceed the amount required to meet the immediate and longer term needs of the people impacted, ActionAid Australia will direct donations to our Arise Fund, which supports disaster preparedness, response and recovery for current and future emergencies.
