In celebration of International Women’s Day, we were lucky enough to have members of the M-POWERed Collective join us at the MECCA support centre to meet with our team and host a series of discussions on advocacy, education, economic opportunity, health and safety.
Our team and the M-POWERed Collective members emerged feeling inspired, educated and ready to take action to help create a world where everyone has the same rights and opportunities, regardless of gender, postcode, ethnicity or background.
We enjoyed a feast prepared and served by the extraordinary women at Free to Feed, a social enterprise creating empowering employment opportunities for people seeking asylum and refugees through the creation of shared food experiences.
Live Music was performed by emerging musician Tilly Vickers Willis, and guests were also treated to manicures by Melbourne-based Trophy Wife. It was an evening of meaningful conversations, and an opportunity for our incredible M-POWERED Collective to talk passionately about the issues that matter most to them.
