We partner with the Skyline Education Foundation in Victoria to support female students through the last two years of their secondary education.
Founded in 2004, the Skyline Program is the first of its kind in Australia, offering financial, educational, and emotional support to program students – many of whom stem from single parent households or have faced other adversities. Skyline provides them with opportunities to pursue study and employment options.
“It’s been an incredibly tough couple of years for our Skyline students with the pivot to online learning and then a transition back to the classroom. Accessing the basic tools required for studying, such as desks, chairs, reliable internet connections and laptops has been challenging for many of our students. However, thanks to the continued generosity of everyone at MECCA, our girls have been able to access Skyline’s much needed support to help them successfully complete their VCE. This year we have been able to help another 50 girls through our program, taking us to a total of 120 girls since 2019.”
